Ulthera, Inc. was founded in 2004 with a purpose to change the aesthetic landscape. Today, we’re the leading innovator of ultrasound technology for medical and aesthetic applications. No other medical device provides similar efficacy to patients without requiring an invasive procedure.
The Ulthera® System is the first and only energy-based device to receive U.S. FDA clearance for a non-invasive aesthetic lift indication. It is used in a procedure known as Ultherapy®, that lifts the skin above the eyebrow, on the neck and under the chin.
We’re constantly striving to improve the utility of the Ulthera platform by developing innovative applications that are compliant with FDA standards, deliver efficacy for patients, and provide value for physicians.
Since our inception, we’ve worked to create an environment that believes in science-focused and time-tested technology. We are leaders in research and development with higher investments in R&D funding and a larger clinical trial pipeline.
Ulthera is defined not only by our proprietary technology, but also by our people: Our senior management team are true functional experts—who bring a wealth of experience ranging from successful start-ups to Fortune 500 medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
We understand the importance of science-backed technology, an agile workplace and values-based leadership. Together, they bring the expertise necessary to lead a driven team of professionals to increasingly drive results - without experiencing bureaucratic red-tape.
The team at Ulthera operates in a fast-paced, results-driven environment—where every individual has the opportunity to make a visible impact. We make decisions quickly and move fast, while always keeping an eye on compliance and the needs of our customers.
We're committed to innovation and continuous improvement. And that means challenging ourselves and each other through constructive confrontation. Our team is cross-functional and collaborative, but you'll be trusted with autonomy and independence to make decisions that are right for our business and our clients.
The culture at Ulthera is defined by our seven operating principles. They influence how we act, how we respond and the things we should consider.
Ulthera’s history began over 14 years ago, after a partnership with Johnson & Johnson formed to develop micro-focused ultrasound for non-invasive treatment of liver cancer. In 2004, Ulthera was established to further develop the technology for the aesthetic space.
After several years of preclinical evaluation and clinical studies, Ulthera received the first FDA de novo clearance for a non-invasive lift indication in 2009. Since then, we’ve grown quickly—with over $100 million in annual revenue and over 350,000 commercial procedures performed worldwide.
In addition to lifting the lives of our physicians and their patients, we're committed to doing the same for our team. We offer employees a comprehensive benefits package, industry-leading compensation and the opportunity to grow personally and professionally with us.
